Career Assessment

Give employees and managers information that will help them maximize their satisfaction, fulfillment and performance at work.

Career Interest Survey

For employees to be successful and fulfilled in their jobs, their work should match their values, interests, and preferences.  Smart organizations are finding ways to ensure their employees understand their interests and preferences so they can help match employees with the jobs and career paths that make the most sense for them.  This information is also critical so managers can coach them in ways that make sense for their career goals.  All employees can benefit from this information, but it can be particularly helpful for identifying and coaching High-Potential employees given the additional investment being made this this population.

    • This survey measures an employee’s career orientation or career anchor.  It describes what is most important to the employee when it comes to the work they want to do now and, in the future, and the kind of work environment they want.

    • It contains 110 multiple choice questions and takes 20-25 minutes to complete

This assessment can be used in several ways:

    • Challenge/Pressure
    • Altruism/Purpose
    • Work/Life balance

  • Leader and organizational insight

It can be used as part of a high-potential identification process or program.  A separate evaluation report provides scores on 4 dimensions predictive of success future leadership and management roles:

    • Aspiration
    • Ascendance
    • General Management
    • Learning and Growth Orientation

  • Career path/stream decisions

It can also be used to help make decisions about the most appropriate career path/stream for an employee.  For example, should they be on a professional path, leadership path, or technical path?
